LIAT and its industrial partners provide many opportunities to faculty and researchers for scientific mobility. Research visits are a way for scientists to enrich their research through constant collaboration with their colleagues.

Visiting Professors

To enhance international cooperation, many foreign professors and researchers are invited to give lectures and seminars at LIAT. They actively participate in teaching and research programs. As part of this mobility program, significant resources are devoted to inviting renowned scientists for either an exceptional conference or establishing a collaborative a research program.

Whether it’s to teach, do research or just to get fresh air, LIAT invites you to participate in this wonderful program to help train the next-generation of African leaders. This is a very rewarding experience for you as well as for LIAT’s students, professors and researchers.

Short Visit and Exceptional Talk

The main purpose of these visits, which last less than two weeks, is to come and give a lecture at LIAT, as part of an event organized by LIAT and as part of the visiting professors’ exceptional talk series. It is also an opportunity to visit LIAT and its research labs for the first time, and to forge links for future collaboration.

Long-term Visit

The stay lasting one month or more, allows for the implementation of a scientific collaboration program. During his stay, the visiting professor will give a lecture as part of the LIAT visiting professor seminar cycle. However, the main purpose of the stay is to establish the project submitted in the visiting application. The overall goal of this scientific mobility is to support international research programs collaboration and also contribute to the co-supervision of Master’s theses at LIAT.

Guest researchers

LIAT has a tutoring program for scientists, engineers with at least a Master’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, electrical and computer engineering, and cybersecurity with higher teaching ability, excellent inter-personal skills, and strong communication skills.

Tutoring at LIAT is a great opportunity to meet and work closely with world-class scientists and industry experts. Participants in this program assist LIAT professors in their research and teaching activities. They act as Teaching and Research Assistant (TRA). The tutors’ duties include: assistance to the faculty for example with problem-solving classes and computer labs, assessing student’s performance on a continuous basis.

Candidates should submit an application including: a cover letter, research and teaching statement, CV, and two references who can be contacted. In the cover letter, the candidate should specify their availability and provide the evidence that would make them an excellent candidate.
